I’m pretty new to this whole system, I’m just an intern, so I’m not sure where I should be looking for a solution to this problem, so any help would be appreciated.

We install the agent and the deployment plug-in specifically in the FirstLogonCommands in the unattend.xml file on our WIM, and when the PC boots it has both on there.

I tried extending the registration period to 10 mins, as this task usually fails every 5 mins, but that doesn’t change anything. This is very inconsistent however, sometimes the job will pass, and sometimes it will fail based on if it sees the plug-in or not. The WIM images are applied to machines just fine, the issue comes into play when trying to boot to production and deploying the agent onto the client.

Move agent exe and deployment plugin installer to windows drive.

Move custom unattend file into C:WindowsPanther.

Copy over scripts for diskpart and creating boot files.

I know it’s not the “right” way to deploy WIMs to machines, but we are already very set on using Altiris for other types of deployments, so instead of using something like WDS we’re trying to get this working.

Hi, We recently upgraded to 3.3 ru2 And installed the ipxe adons to try and use 2 servers have worked fine with no issue They boot to ipxe and image The servers are running server 2016 with full version of sql The 3rd server is failing to boot to ipxe – it keeps coming up with an error pxe-e53 I tried searching and tried some of the solutions but no joy Pxe works and boots a machine to winpe and images When we set it to ipxe it goes through the process but as its about to start pulling the winpe it fails with an error and boots to windows All 3 servers are identical- all running same version of the console and the pxe and pxe utility I have recreated a new pxe boot file using the ipxe option and saved it to the pxe config utility and checked it’s the correct one being used to connect to by the pc Any ideas would be much appreciated Thanks This is a selection on the error from the log file 09:23:45.9845|ERROR||GetPxeBootInfo : Exception while GetPxeBootInfo executing Input string was not in a correct format. Note: I am using the default configuration of norton ghost. WinPE 10 is used along with norton ghost. I am working on creating a ghost image for my machine.
